An Open Letter To The Industry |
Thanks to the tremendous response from breeders, we have extended the Heritage Place Yearling Sale to a three-day sale, and we will be offering 875 quality yearlings. We are very excited about the upcoming sale and the quality of horses we are offering, making it the second largest yearling sale in our 30 year history. The sale will be September 18th through the 20th, with the evening of the 17th being our Pre-Sale Party and the "Grand Opening" of our newly renovated Restaurant and Club.
Heritage Place announced over a year ago that we would be making significant changes in the way we do business and at our facility. We have held to this commitment and will continue to look for ways to make improvements. If you haven't been to Heritage Place lately, please come and see the vast improvements that have been made for your benefit and help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary. |

June 1, 2008 was the 28th running of the richest race in Oklahoma History, the $1.1 Million Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity, and the culmination of the Remington Park meet which paid out the largest purses ever in Oklahoma. |
We are also excited about our upcoming Fall Mixed Sale, which will be held on October 24th and 25th. We would still like for you to consider the Fall Sale as the Better time of year to sell your broodmares, especially mares due to foal early, as well as long yearlings and open or maiden mares. This will allow the buyers sufficient time to establish a game plan prior to breeding season, and the Oklahoma weather is wonderful at this time of year. We would once again like to make the Fall Mixed Sale the pinnacle sale of our industry. |
New Tax advantages are now available since Congress recently passed the Farm Bill that greatly improves our previous equine tax laws ( click here to learn more). Furthermore, many States have seen a significant increase to purses from gaming. Now is a great time to be in the race horse industry. |
We want to take this opportunity to thank the industry for supporting us for the past 30 years, and we remain committed to serving your horse auction needs. Please call me if you have any ideas or concerns. Again, thank you for supporting Heritage Place and for allowing us to remain the place "Where Champions Are Sold". |
| Respectfully,
Jeff Tebow
