Bay Eagle Glory had the fastest time at 400 yards, crossing the finish in :19.609 seconds. Owned by Julio Rodriguez of South Houston, Texas and trained by Jose Gamez, Bay Eagle Glory was ridden by Manuel Gutierrez. The 3-year-old colt was bred in Oklahoma by Johnny Trotter and is by One Famous Eagle from the Mr Eye Opener mare Eye Of Glory.
The field of 10 that will compete in the May 30 Heritage Place Derby [G2], with their times and trial, will be: Bay Eagle Glory, :19.609 (trial 7); BP Cartels Policy, :19.619 (trial 7); Rpainted Wagon, :19.636 (trial 7); Viento Negro, :19.701 (trial 8); Candy Cartels Cat, :19.707 (trial 8); Okie Paint Job, :19.872 (trial 7); GW Shezaspecialrose, :19.888 (trial 8); JMF Shazoomer, :19.894 (trial 8); Tzunami Is Okay, :19.903 (trial 7) and Politicaly Correct, :19.905 (trial 3).
Only Politicaly Correct, the Oklahoma Derby winner in March, qualified into the southerly headwind, prior to the final two trials.
Remington Park will conduct the Heritage Place Futurity trials programs on Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12. The first race both days is at 5pm. Both cards were moved after being postponed from May 8 & 9, due to severe weather forecasts.
