OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 17, 2016—Remington Park will continue their schooling races for two-year-olds on Thursday with another 12 races carded for American Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas.
First post is set for 11:00 a.m. (CST) and all races will contested over 250 yards. The public is invited to attend.
Trainer Brian Muse will saddle Gronkowski, a $110,000 Ruidoso Sale Graduate, in the 8th race for owner Victory Farms. The son of champion sire Walk Thru Fire is a half-brother to Ruidoso Derby(G1) winner Rock You ($788,565), 2015 Ruidoso Derby(G1) runner-up Glock ($205,905), California Breeders’ Sprint winner Carne Vino ($88,805), and a brother to All American Juvenile winner Jm Special Wynn ($87,773). His dam, Babe On The Fly by Strawfly Special, has produced 18 ROM and five black-type runners.
Next to Gronkowsi will be $42,000 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale graduate One Dashin Superstar, by world champion and first crop sire One Dashing Eagle. Eddie Willis conditions the colt out of Adashin First Dash, by First Down Dash, for owner Ed Melzer. This is the family G1-placed Mr Corona Cartel ($214,892), All American Futurity(G1) winner Running Brook Gal ($1,359,989), etc.
Horsemen and women who cannot attend the schooling races may go to www.oqhra.com and watch the races under the “Racing-Training Races” tab. A replay of the race should be available to view within 3-5 minutes following each training race.
This should be available to users on their desktop, laptop or mobile applications. OQHRA officials said it may take a few minutes longer for the first race of the day to upload, but once the link has been established they will roll up after each race.
