OKLAHOMA CITY – March 9, 2019 — Heritage Place Sale Graduate Fastest Qualifier Saturday night in the trials at Remington Park for the Grade 2, $396,650 Oklahoma Futurity, EC Revenge (*2018 Heritage Place Yearling Sale Graduate), came out of a race in which four horses landed in the top 10 fastest times of the night. All four qualified out of the seventh of 12 trials.
The Oklahoma Futurity final for 2-year-old American Quarter Horses going 300 yards is scheduled for Saturday, March 23. The following were the 10 fastest qualifiers from Saturday’s 12 races, with their trial times, Speed Index, trial number, trainer and jockey:

EC Revenge is a 2-year-old gelded son of Hes Relentless, out of the Corona Cartel mare SS Pamilla. He was bred in Oklahoma by William E. Smith.
Hes Relentless was the AQHA Racing Champion 3-year-old colt in 2014. As a 3-year-old, he won four of eight starts, including the Grade 3 Hobbs America Derby. He earned $295,100 in that season, also finishing third in the Grade 1 Rainbow Derby. As a 2-year-old, he won four of seven starts for $321,280, and was a finalist in the Grade 1 All-American Futurity. He also ran second in the Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park.
On Saturday night, Hes Relentless’ son, EC Revenge, popped out of the gate second, overtaking TF Kates TLC in the latter stages of the 300-yard sprint and got up to win by a head for a speed index of 87, the best of the night. TF Kates TLC, Sizzling Fajita and Rrelentless ran second, third and fourth, but were all fast enough to qualify for the finals with speed indexes of 86, 82, and 82 respectively. James Flores, leading rider at Remington Park in 2018, was in the irons for trainer Dee Keener and owner Elizabeth Logan of Haskell, Okla. Flores also qualified the sixth-fastest qualifier, Pepper Ryan, for trainer Heath Taylor in the ninth race. His time was tied with Rrelentless, who qualified for trainer Gregg Sanders under jockey Jesus Olivas in the seventh race with the exact time of 15.655.
Racing resumes Sunday with first post of 1:30 p.m. for a 10-race card. The Sunday races feature six trials for the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity.
