A pair of Heritage Place September Yearling Sale graduates set the top two times from 69 two-year-olds who participated in 10 schooling races over 250 yards at Remington Park Monday.Kiss My Heineken moved up to take the lead shortly after the start in Race 3 then finished under a hand-ride to win by three-quarters. The Carters Cartel colt got the fastest 250 yard 2-year-old time on Monday with a :13.58 clocking with a 14 mph tailwind.
Trainer Eddie D. Willis saddled the winner for owner Jeff Carter. The $22,000 Heritage Place sale graduate is out of the champion aged mare Fredaville, by Mr Jess Perry. This is the family of champions Heza Dasha Fire, Deelish, Fredricksburg and Ima Fearless Hero. Gentry Farms is the breeder.
In the next race (4) Knockemout Capi broke sharp and took the lead for trainer Manuel Almanza. With some urging the Capo de Capi colt pulled away for a 1 ¾ length win. The rider held Knockout Capi in hand to finish with the second fastest time of :13.63.Owner Joree Sanchez paid $10,000 at the Heritage Place September Yearling sale for the colt out an Eyesa Special half-sister to All American Futurity winner Falling In Love Again. This is the family of numerous stakes winners including Remington Park stakes winners Adolph Tres Knockout and Pronto Alex.Stacey Capps saddled
Jimmy Guest’s Ladys Freighttrain B to the third fastest time in Race 2. The Oklahoma homebred straightened out after the break and was pulling clear at the wire for a three-quarter-length win in :16.69 seconds. She is out of the stakes-placed and stakes-producing Dashin Bye mare Marmalade Lady.
