Groupie James (Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale Graduate) finished half-a-length back in the show position. Ridden by jockey Sergio Becerra, Jr., Eyema Blue Wagon completed the 300-yards in :15.180 seconds to pocket the winner’s purse of $102,414. Saddled by trainer Albert Franco, the son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon kept his record perfect at 2-for-2.
Eyema Blue Wagon races for owner Regal Racing Stables, LLC. Dee and Betty Raper bred the brown colt in Oklahoma from the Mr Eye Opener mare Eyema Blues Girl, a half-sister to world champion Blues Girls Too.
Still win less in three starts, Jess Prize Me races for owner LMG Racing, Inc. and trainer LMG Racing, Inc. The son of Mr Jess Perry, who has finished second in three starts at Sunland Park this season, has earned $45,114. Jesse Levario was aboard.
