January 14, 2022 – Oklahoma City, OK – The jumbo Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale got underway Thursday morning in Oklahoma City and the first horse in the ring brought $80,000. Before the session was over about 7:00 p.m.,
The first session topper at $185,000 was SC Divas Cartel Man, a Corona Cartel gelding out of Champion runner and Champion producer Spit Curl Diva. A full brother to Champion Coronas First Diva $496,000, the four-year-old gelding was consigned by Lazy E Ranch, LLC, agent for Reliance Ranches, LLC, and purchased by Daniel Herrera.
The highest-selling female at $127,000 was the four-year-old Tres Seis filly B Boujee. A half-sister to G1 winner Jess B Glory $144,000, the daughter of the $102,000 winning Valiant Hero mare Glory Rider is a stakes placed winner of $42,000. Consigned by Marty Powers as agent for Running Down A Dream, she was purchased by Simmons Racing.
Jess Lips, a 13-year-old son of Mr Jess Perry, brought $120,000 from Maximillion Perez. Consigned by Dunn Ranch on behalf of Valeriano Racing, the $399,000 earner has already sired a number of big runners including Onemoreandiamgone V $174,000 and Im Jess Special V $624,000. Jess Lips is a full brother to the deceased leading sire Jesse James Jr.
James Sills paid $75,000 for the top selling yearling, a 1-1-21 colt by Apollitical Jess and out of the Hotdoggin mare Hot Charge. Bob Moore Farms consigned the colt on behalf of Rancho El Cabresto, Inc. Several foals-in-utero sold during the session, with the leader of the pack being an $85,000 Favorite Cartel – Spit Curl Diva prospective foal that has a transfer date of 3/13/21. Purchased by Brian Gunder, it was consigned by Lazy E Ranch, LLC, as agent for Reliance Ranches, LLC.
The hottest consignment of the day had to be horses that Lazy E Ranch sold for Reliance Ranches. And the hottest part of that consignment was the three out of Spit Curl Diva which brought $185,000, $85,000 and $50,000. Reliance sold 15 head for $422,000.
Spit Curl Diva,, the Champion runner that earned $829,000 and multiple track record setter and Champion producer, is scheduled to sell early in Saturday’s session as #701. She is open.

Here are the 19 head that were reported as selling for $50,000 or greater in Friday’s session. The number after the sex on each horse is the current age. A similar report will be issued on Saturday and the regular MONDAY REPORT on January 17 will contain the complete sale report. January 17 is a federal holiday, but TRACK Magazine offices will be open.
