2013 Racing Champion Nominees

The 2013 racing champions will be announced January 22, 2013

The 2013 AQHA Racing Champions Awards ceremony will take place Wednesday, January 22, at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City.

There, the 2013 racing champions will be revealed, including the 2013 World Champion Racing American Quarter Horse, divisional champions and champion horsemen. In addition, the winners of the AQHA Racing Council Special Recognition award and Gordon Crone and Mildred N. Vessels Special Achievement awards will be recognized.

The ceremony starts at 6 p.m., with a pre-event party and hors d’oeuvres at 5 p.m. The champions award ceremony is a black-tie event. Ladies are asked to wear “after 5” clothes and gentleman are asked to wear coats and ties.

The event coincides with the Heritage Place Winter Mixed sale, January 23-25. The sale starts at 10 a.m. each day. A catalog is available at Heritage Place’s website, or can be downloaded on the free sales catalog app at Equineline.com.

AQHA will offer full on-site services at the sale. This includes on-site registrations and transfers, memberships, Challenge enrollments, Equineline services and more.

There will be a meeting, hosted by AQHA, in the sales pavilion at 8 a.m. on Friday on the topic of medication updates.
