OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–NOVEMBER 2, 2024– Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale ended Saturday on a high note with across-the-board Gross, Average, and Median increases.
“The 2024 Fall Mixed Sale finished strong,” Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said Saturday evening. Today’s average was $16,962, just a few dollars ahead of the same day last year.”
The sales company reported that 590 of 873 were offered for gross receipts of $10,499,600, which is up 10% from all 2023 sessions. The average price rose 6% from $16,174 last year to $17,796. The median increased 25% to $10,000 compared to $8,000 last year.

AQHA Racing Champion Breeder Bobby Cox purchased the session sale topper for the second consecutive day with a final bid of $240,000 for Hip 764 Icy Morning Breeze. Mike Logan, Agent, consigned the stakes-winning daughter Winners Version from the Attilas’s Storm thoroughbred mare Icy Storm.
Lionel Zapata paid $100,000 for Saturday’s second high-seller, Hip 840 Bigg Deal, a 3-year-old filly by leading New Mexico sire Big Daddy Cartel from the Ocean Runaway mare Ms Riptide. Solo Select, Agent, consigned the stakes-placed filly.
Saturday’s third high-seller, Hip 759 Features Fines Kind, was purchased by Simmons Racing for $90,000. Royal Vista Ranch, Agent, consigned the Tres Seis mare out of Feature For You by Feature Mr Jess.
Bobby Cox was the leading buyer, with four purchases for $610,000. Vista Del Sol, Inc. paid $263,000 for nine head, and Francisco Navarrete signed six tickets for $234,000.
Solo Select Agent was the leading consignor or agent with 30 heads for gross receipts of $700,800. Granada Farms, Agent sold 12 head for $567,500, and Dunn Ranch, Agent had 40 head gross $498,100.
Apollitical Jess was the leading sale sire of yearlings (by average, two or more sold) with two head averaging $70,500. Favorite Cartel had three for a $67,667 average, and On Famous Eagle sold four for a $57,500 average.
Dulce Sin Tacha was the sale’s leading covering sire (by average, two or more sold), with three in-foal mares averaging $34,333. Apollitical Blood sold two in-foal mares for a $32,750 average and One Dashing Eagle had three in-foal mares average $32,333.
